Fig and Gorgonzola Bruschetta can be served as as an antipasto or dessert. It combines fig jam or preserves with gorgonzola cheese.
Grilling the bread takes only minutes and adds a smoky flavor. You can toast the bread using your oven broiler or a toaster oven.
- 2 slices (65 g) artisan bread
- 4 tablespoons (60 g) fig preserves
- 1 oz. (28 g) gorgonzola or other blue cheese
- Fresh mint, thinly sliced
Method of Preparation
Heat grill, oil grate, and grill bread about 30 seconds per side or until toasted.
Cut bread in half, spread preserves, place cheese on top of the preserves, and garnish with mint if desired. Serve immediately.
