5 Foods You Should Never Eat
While surfing the web, you’ve probably encountered an ad showing a banana or someone eating a banana with the heading 5 Foods You Should Never Eat. I’ve never clicked on the ad, because it is ludicrous associating bananas with foods you should avoid.
It made me wonder if their is a consensus of 5 foods people should avoid for optimum health. Like most subjects related to diet and dieting the there are plenty of lists for 5 foods to avoid but they do not agree. Here are a few examples.

1. Artificial Sweeteners
2. Margarine
3. Soy Protein Isolate
4. Diet Foods
5. Frozen Foods

1. Simple sugars & unhealthy fats
2. High nitrate meats
3. Foods with ingredients you can’t pronounce
4. Diet Foods
5. Canned foods high in sodium

3. Creamy dressings
4. White rice
5. High fructose corn syrup
As you can see, these three lists have similarities but are not consistent. That’s one reason dieting is so confusing and frustrating in the United States. One group or person says one thing while another offers a different point of view. Dieting has become such a big business, special interests including licensed doctors seem more concerned about increasing their wealth than the health and well being of people desperately trying to lose weight.
If you are eating a Mediterranean style diet, there is a good chance you are limiting or avoiding foods you shouldn’t eat to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
