Along with all the misinformation about diets there are websites and nutritionists that profit by research by taking statements and conclusions out of context for there own gain; publicity or monetarily.

Published research conducted using mice and other animals has not always been a good indicator of how a food or substance will affect humans. Artificial sweeteners is one example. Mice are feed super high doses equivalent to drinking hundreds of diet sodas per day. If cancer or other abnormality is noted and the research published it immediately make headlines.

The same is true about soy (tofu and other products), soy protein and soy isoflavones.
