Foods That Can Heal?
“You are what you eat.”
For many people it is the wrongs foods high in calories, fat, salt and sugar. They are highly processed foods and fast foods. Fast foods are usually fried or grilled. You can’t get much faster than that. Processed foods come packaged, canned and frozen.
On the other side of the coin, are the “super” foods that are not only good for you but have the ability to reverse damage caused by processed and fast foods. They don’t come fried, and should be eaten with minimal processing. This years list includes:
Fresh or frozen blueberries.
Fish, especially oily fish like salmon and sardines.
Garlic and onions.
All of the above super foods, except blueberries, are common ingredients in an Italian Mediterranean diet.
